Sketch the Graph of Each Line
Every question gives you a linear function. Click two points of the line on the grid and the line is drawn through them. Click a point again to take it away. Then write down the slope and the y-intercept.
Here is how to do it:
- The easiest point is the y-intercept: it is the number added at the end, so the line always goes through the point (0, b).
- The slope tells you how to walk to the next point: go up as many squares as the numerator, then go right as many squares as the denominator. A negative slope goes down instead of up.
- An answer that is not a whole number can be written as a fraction - 1/4 - or as a decimal - 0.25. Equivalent fractions such as 2/8 are accepted too.
Reload the page and you get a new worksheet - the functions are generated at random every time.
