Polar Coordinates Game

This game helps students understand polar coordinates. A point in polar coordinates is given by its distance r from a fixed point (the center, or pole) and an angle θ measured counter-clockwise from the 0° ray. The same point has many polar coordinates: (50, 30°), (50, 390°) and (−50, 210°) all describe one point.

How to play

• Read the radar: enter the distance and angle of the enemy ship.
• Place the ship: click the radar at the given coordinates.
• 10 ships per mission. A wrong answer gets a second try for half points.
• Choose degrees or radians and a level.
