In my opinion a point does not have any kind of dimension.

I think that points have 1 dimension.

A point has no dimensions. It can be drawn anywhere or marked anywhere.

Whenever we assume a point on a plane then according to geometry it will definitely have 2 dimensions and if it assumed in space then it will have 3 dimensions.

Hi,
If you will see a point on a graph, you will hardly find measure in terms of x or y- axis. so according to my knowledge, point has no dimensions.

In my opinion, point has no dimensions. As I have studied I found that point has no dimensions.

A point has zero dimensions: there is nothing to measure; a point just specifies a location, but has no size.

Hi,

A point is multidimensional.
Today's science manouvers around it with either 2d or 3d. That's based on our perception of reality.

In duality it can be everything and anything.

A point has infinite dimensions.

Uhm, statements such as "in my opinion" have no place here. This is a math forum, not a Dear Abbey forum.

So, here we go:

Point: zero dimensions
Line: one dimension
Plane: two dimensions
Cube: three dimensions

Better yet, go to wikipedia.com. There's more math stuff there than you can POINT at.

No, you are using the word "dimension" incorrectly. A point in plane has two components. It is the plane that has two dimensions and space that has three dimensions. A point has 0 dimensions.

Who are you referring to? There were a number of contradictory posts!

(I agree that a point is has zero dimensions. A point may lie in a two dimensional plane or three dimensional space.)
