Need help with simple formula for business

Postby Guest » Mon Oct 30, 2017 10:40 am

Hi,

Need help with a real problem for my small businesses if anyone would be so kind.

2 people will be investing in purchases for the business. Each will recieve a percentage of profits based on their total investment.

Example:
Purchase 1 is \$10,000
Partner A invests \$2000
Partner B invests \$8000

So far, partner A will get %20 profit, partner B gets %80

Purchase 2 is \$6,459
Partner A invests \$1459
Partner B invests \$5000

Now I need to know the total “ownership” (percentage of investment) for each partner in the total for both purchases.

This continues indefinitely. Is there a formula that I can use to plug in the purchases and investments and get the total ownership for each partner at any point in the investment activity?

Many thanks friends,

Mathneo
