From the first equation y=5-2x
Now substitute y in the second equation

From the first equation 2x + y = 5 we ca find the solution
=> y= 5-2x
put this value of y into the 2nd equation and we will get the value
3x- 2(5-2x) = 4
3x- 10 + 4x = 4
7x - 10 = 4
7x = 4+ 10
7x= 14
x= 14/7
x= 2
so we get x=2, put the value of x into the first equation
2(2) + y = 5
4+ y = 5
y= 5-4
y= 1

so the value of y = 1

The answer for the question is b (2,1)
