How to find the x and y, by using only floating percentage

I hope I put this on the right section, it's about finding the x and y.

Question:

"X to Y is positive integer numbers, not negative ones.

7.5% within X to Y, contains number starting from 1440 to 1504.

X to 1440 shares 20% of the whole cake. The rest (72.5 %) is from 1504 to Y.

Find the X and Y."

are you saying......7.5% = 1504 - 1400 = 64
100% = 853
20% 1440-X so 170= 1440-X so X = 1270

72.5 % = Y - 1540 so 618 = Y - 1540 so Y = 2158

Ans X = 1270 and Y = 2158

Sorry there are typo errors all over the last post.....
It should be as follows......

are you saying................7.5% = 1504 - 1440 = 64
Then that means........ 100% = 853
and ..... if ..... 20% = 1440-X......... so then ............. 170 = 1440-X .....so..... X = 1270

Also if......... 72.5 % = Y - 1540 ....then.... 618 = Y - 1540 and....... Y = 2158

Ans X = 1270 and Y = 2158

It should be as follows......
