It takes a snail x hours to travel 10 miles. At this rate, how many hours y will it take the snail to travel 60 miles?

We can set up a proportion:
[tex]\frac{x}{10}[/tex]=[tex]\frac{y}{60}[/tex]
10y=60x
y=6x
