Area of a segment

Here is the generalized formula for the area of a segment:

Note: The version I posted lists theta in terms of degrees. To find the area of the sector in terms of theta, it should be [tex]\frac{theta}{2π}[/tex]. For the area of the triangle, it does not matter whether the angle measure is in degrees or radians
