A failure to understand Zero, and its nature.

A failure to understand Zero, and its nature.

It is my opinion that the product of binary multiplication by the number zero is relative.

2*0 = 2
0*2 = 0

For example, both statements are valid. The product is determined by the nature of zero in the expression. If zero is used as a value in the expression, then the product is zero. If zero is used as a collection of spaces then the product is 2.

2 * 3 =

2 + 2 + 2

In this case the number 3 is not a number but rather a collection of spaces, and 2 is used as a value, or number.

3 + 3

In this case the number 2 is not a number, but rather a collection of spaces, and 3 is used as a value, or number.

Likewise with the number zero, and multiplication.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that this is not correct. That you have indeed failed to understand zero.
