Hi to everyone,

do you know the "One World Trade Center"?


Well, i've to calculate two things about it:


-The volume, according to its particular shape

-The surface of the glass plates which cover the whole structure


Searching on internet i found two dimensions: 

1) Total height without antenna: 417 m

2) Cubic base dimensions: 61 m, for every side

So you want the volume and surface area?

You can model this by a rectangular solid, 61 m by 61m by 417 m (I don't believe that is quite right- I believe that "One World Trade Center" is slightly smaller at the top than the base, but this is close.)

The volume of such a rectangular solid is the product of "height, width, and length", 61x61x417 cubic meters. Only the four sides, not the top or bottom, have windows so you want to calculate four times "width times height", 4 x 61 x 417 square meters.
