Math teacher here - (TIP) How I trained my students to think

Postby Guest » Thu Dec 17, 2020 2:01 pm

If you are a teacher you know how hard it is to teach mathematics. Because students have no practice in analyzing a problem with logical thinking. So I started to use some logic puzzles and brain teasers in the class. I take 10 minutes per week from the class and give them a great puzzle to solve. If someone could solve it then I give some recognition to that person in the class hoping it will encourage others. I did this for the last two months and I saw significant improvement in the class. Thought it's worth to share.

I highly recommend this puzzle to use as the first one in the class. My students really enjoyed this one.

Thank you very much for the recommendations and for sharing the links to the YouTube video. Such interesting logical problems for students can become really good motivation that will encourage them to fall in love with mathematics and teach them to think logically, critically, which will help them not only in their studies, but also in life in general.
