Grigori Perelman for proving Poincaré conjecture, for his extraordinary math talent and main for his way to expose it!

Grigori Perelman is really a strange man. I watched some youtube videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1RS7eHCsZo- when he refused to take his award of $1 million

My favorite mathematician is Mr Aryabhatta the one who invented zero,In my opinion he was the greatest mathematician because as we all know the zero is very useful in the field of mathematics.

My favourite mathematician is Isaac Newton (1642-1727) because he has contributed in various subjects and invented many laws which are useful for us to understand the actual procedure. He has contributed in Math & Physics.

Recently I read about Srinivasa Ramanujan, an Indian mathematician in the 20th century. He was a very talented one. Despite having little formal education in mathematics, Ramanujan could enlist his name of one of the best mathematicians ever lived. He was also very religious man. He believed that the math equation that he discovered was revealed to him by a supernatural being. In his death bed, He still wrote a letter to Hardy, A Cambridge mathematicians, that he had discovered a mock theta function. What a dedication to mathematics he had!
Ramanujan is one of my favourite mathematicians.

My favorite mathematician of all time is probably Karl Friedrich Gauss. Fundamental research is associated with the name of Gauss in almost all main areas of mathematics: in algebra, number theory, differential and non-Euclidean geometry, mathematical analysis, theory of functions of a complex variable, probability theory, as well as in analytical and celestial mechanics, astronomy, physics and geodesy. A universal person, about whom I recently wrote a study with the Edubirdie company. Gauss was extremely strict about his published works and never published even outstanding results if he considered his work on this topic unfinished. His personal seal depicted a tree with several fruits, under the motto: "Pauca sed matura" (a little, but ripe). It's incredible.

David Hilbert is my foremost hero in the history of modern mathematics. He is known for his great and inspiring works of science and for his humanity.

Because he was so prolific and introduced a lot of the nomenclature and fundamental ideas that we use today in practically every area of mathematics, he is possibly the most influential mathematician.
