A small question regarding lim

Postby Guest » Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:23 pm

I am having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around the concept of lim.
Is it possible to request clarification or maybe an example on this?
All the previous answers I have found are, more or less, in mathematic short hand, and I am not a mathematician(yet).

Suppose you have a sequence

[tex]\frac{9}{10}[/tex], [tex]\frac{99}{100}[/tex], [tex]\frac{999}{1000}[/tex], [tex]\frac{9999}{10000}[/tex],.............

Find intuitively the limit of the sequence.
Have in mind that [tex]\frac{9}{10}[/tex] < [tex]\frac{99}{100}[/tex] < [tex]\frac{999}{1000}[/tex] ......
