You are the manager of a retail store. A new top selling at £20 was introduced last sales quarter, and you now need to decide whether to make another purchase from the suppliers. The breakdown of sales figures are:

Part A

Calculate the ratio of each colour sold.

Part B

After a meeting with the purchasing and sales teams, they have confirmed the following:

All of the blue stock was sold

Nine-tenths of the red stock was sold

Three-eighths of the yellow stock was sold

Does this change your view on which was the most popular colour? Why / why not? Include references to mathematical models and discuss what factors are not considered by the mathematical model being used that could affect sales figures.

Part C

If the tops cost £5 per unit from the supplier, calculate the original cost to purchase all of the tops.
