Which function is bigger? six(x) or cos(x)
Is sin(x) > cos(x) or sin(x) = cos(x) or sin(x) < cos(x)

Bigger is nor sin(x) nor cos(x)
according to the value of x in which interval is there are the following situations:

if x=45 or x = k.45
sin(x) = cos(x)

if 0 < x < 45
sin(x) < cos(x)

if 45 < x < 90
sin(x) > cos(x)

if 90 < x < 180
sin(x) > cos(x) because sin x > 0 and cos x <0

It depends on the value of x so we can't say that sin x is bigger or cos x.

Sin varies from 0 to 1 as X varies from 0 to 90 degrees
Cos varies from 1 to 0 as X varies from 0 to 90 degrees
And also +ve or -ve in each quadrant as per the CAST rules.
Attached is spreadsheet and graphs to show how it varies......
