Rewrite all of the exponents as powers of 3

[tex]3^{2(2x+1)}[/tex]=([tex]3^{4(x-2)}[/tex])/([tex]3^{x}[/tex]

[tex]3^{4x+2}[/tex]=[tex]3^{3x-8 }[/tex]

4x+2=3x-8

x=-10
