Hello, I am here to require your help in the solving o the following problem:
In a system of logarithms, the logarithm of 101.44 exceeds in 5 the logarithm of 3,17. It is correct to say that :

Good afternoon.

[tex]\log_b(101,44)-\log_b(3,17)=5[/tex]

[tex]\log_b\left(\frac{101,44}{3,17}\right)=5[/tex]

[tex]\frac{101,44}{3,17}=b^5[/tex]

[tex]b=\sqrt[5]{\frac{101,44}{3,17}}=\left(\frac{101,44}{3,17}\right)^{1/5}[/tex]

[tex]b=\sqrt[5]{32}=32^{1/5}=2[/tex]

a) base less than 2,6

I am puzzled by your notation. I know that, in some regions the integer part is separated by a period, ".", while other regions use a comma, ",". But you have both "101.4" and "3,17"!
