Postby darkzer0 » Mon Mar 13, 2006 5:34 pm

Take a look around.... Think a two digit number for example(46)
then 46-(4+6)=36:9=6
37-(3+7)=27:9=3
91-(9+1)=81:9=9

But WHY??? I have the answare I only want to show you....

Two digit number ab=10*a+b
10*a+b -(a+b)=9*a
=>every two digits number is divisible by 9 and own first digit

Well obviously x=1 works

if x>1 (1 +5√3)^x>1 +5√3
and (1 +4√3)^x>1 +4√3

add this to obtain (1 +5√3)^x + (1 +4√3)^x > 2 +9√3 for x>1.

if x<1 (1 +5√3)^x + (1 +4√3)^x < 2+9√3 for x<1 (the same reasoning).

So x=1 is the only solution!
