Calculus: Power rule or chain rule?

Let's say I have:

$\nabla(a\cdot\,x)^{\frac{1}{a}}$

a is a constant.

Is there a way to rewrite the expression like that:

$b\cdot\nabla x$ with b = some factor? Which rules could I use to rewrite the expression?
