The rule is to add 13 to the previous number...

This is the sequence; 8, 21, 34, 47, 60...

What would be the 560th number in this sequence and why?

Pls help!

Thanks :)

[tex]a_{1 }=8 ; a_{2 }=a_{1 }+13=21; a_{3}=a_{2 }+13=34... \Rightarrow[/tex] this is an arithmetic progression[tex]\Rightarrow a_{n }=a_{1 }+( n-1).d ; a_{1 }=8 ; d=13;n=560[/tex]
[tex]a_{560 } = 8 + (560 -1 ).13 = 8 + 559.13 = 8 + 7267 = 7275[/tex]

7,275 is the 560th number.

This is obtained by multiplying 559 times the common difference of 13 by the first number (8).
