Except that when I looked at the second "puzzle" my first thought was that to draw four equidistant lines was an obvious solution but wondered if that was too trivial. Though I thought of horizontal lines, not vertical!

It is also very important to realize that our brain is one of the most complex systems in the world and how it functions has not been studied even by a few percent.
