A new math riddle

A new math riddle

Postby Guest » Thu Aug 13, 2020 2:17 pm

I made this up but cant solve it. I have a philosophical reason for asking for solution. I am using an analogy:

Suppose you had a family, of unspecified number of members. You can know that one person is older than another, or younger, but you know no specific ages of any member. Would it be possible to work out the absolute age of any member?

No. If you have only know if someone is older or younger, you can't find absolute ages.
