# Where is the mistake?

### Where is the mistake?

Is there a mistake?
$$1=1\\a=a\\a^2=a^2\\a^2-a^2=a^2-a^2\\a \cancel{(a-a)}=(a+a) \cancel{(a-a)}\\ \cancel{a}=2 \cancel{a}\\1=2$$

### Re: Where is the mistake?

8 x 0 = 2 x 0 (make a mistake and simplify 0 => 8 = 2)
0 = 0

### Re: Where is the mistake?

$$\alpha$$\alpha = 0
and we cannot simplify by dividing with zero (division by zero is not possible).

This is where the mistake is.
