Colouring the vertices of a regular p-gon with n colours

Postby Guest » Tue Dec 15, 2020 3:24 pm

There is a prime number p>2 and a natural number n. In how many ways is it possible to colour the vertices of a regular p-gon with n colours if we do not consider the ways in which the colours coincide after the rotation of the p-gon to be different?
