Probability of card draw in a TCG

Postby Guest » Tue Feb 19, 2019 12:58 am

Hello and many thanks to whom ever can help me with this tricky question my friends and i have been having. So here is the problem.

In a deck of 60 cards there are 4 identical cards. What is the probability to draw one of those cards if you draw an opening hand of 7 cards.

To find that, you can find the probability that you wont find any cards and subtract that by one. So 1-p(dont get one)=1-p(56/60*55/59 and so on till you get 49/53) The answer should be p=.44482 that you get at least one of the 4 cards.
