I would like to solve a simple problem but using a specific method i.e. the reduced space formula for conditional probability.
The problem is draw 2 cards from a standard deck with no replacement at random .
If the first card is red find the probability the second is red using:
P(R2 |R1) = n( R1 intersect R2)/n(R1)
The answer is 25/51 but can we use this formula to arrive at it?
thanks
