there are 8 instructors, 10 assistant professors, and 5 associate professors in the Math department. A committee of 5 is selected to chose new textbooks. how many ways can a committee be selected, if there must be one instructor, two assistant professors and two associate professors on the committee?

[tex]{8 \choose 1}\cdot {10 \choose 2} \cdot {5 \choose 2}[/tex]

The sample is taken in such a manner that the first item is observed and replaced before the second item selected. Determine the probability that both items are good ( with and without).
