if one zero of the polynomial

[tex]P(x)=3x^2- 8x + 2K + 1[/tex] is seven times the other,then find the zeroes and value of K....?

The polynomial has two zeroes:[tex]x_1[/tex] and [tex]x_2[/tex].

[tex]x_2 = 7 * x_1[/tex]

by viet formulas we have:

[tex]x_1 + x_2 = - b/a[/tex]
[tex]x_1 + x_2 = c/a[/tex]

a = 3
b = -8
c = 2K + 1

Do you get it?
