Is the Function Linear?

Postby nycmath » Fri Sep 25, 2026 10:50 am

Plot the ordered pairs (x, y) on the xy-plane, and use the average rate of change to determine whether the function is linear.

NOTE: If the function is linear, the slope will be constant.

This function is not linear, as it does not have a constant slope.
