Answer must be explained in detail using vocabulary and resources

Your associate's degree requires 63 credits. You have already completed four 3-credit courses and three 4-credit courses.

(a) What fraction of the required credits have you completed?

(b) What fraction of required credits remain before you can graduate?

(a) (4*3+3*4)/63
(b) 63- (4*3+3*4

Do you understand that passing "four 3-credit courses" means you have earned 4(3)= 12 credits?
Do you understand that passing "three 4-credit courses" means you have earned 3(4)= 12 credits?

So you have earned 12+ 12= 24 credits so far.

That is a total of 24 credits out of 63 required. You still need 63- 24= 39 credits.

"a) What fraction of the required credits have you completed?"
24/63 which can be reduced to 8(3)/21(3)= 8/21.

"(b) What fraction of required credits remain before you can graduate?"
39/63 which can be reduced to 13(3)/21(3)= 13/21.
