I know if I make .47 calls per day, I will get .371 appts, which leads to .053 contracts per day. If I now need to get .058 contracts, how many calls and appts do I need to make?

First take notice on how the number of contracts increased. So let's write our ratio for contracts.
0.058 : 0.053

Ratios can be re-written as fractions. For instance, 1:2 will yield 1/2 and 3:7 will yield 3/7.

So 0.058:0.053 will yield 0.058/0.053. We can simplify this a bit by multiplying both the numerator and denominator by 1000 so we can get rid of the decimal.

(0.058 * 1000)/(0.053 * 1000) = 58/53

Now we need to convert this back into a decimal. If you're allowed to use a calculator, you'll be able to easily determine that that fraction is equal to AROUND 1.094.

This is the number that we need to multiply to the number of calls and appointments to get our answer.

New number of calls = (0.47)(1.094) = about 0.514 calls per day
New number of appointments = (0.371)(1.094) = 0.406 appointments per day.
