Determine weight of illustrated concrete block. Concrete weighs 150 lbs. per cu. ft.

Volume is (8x8x12) - (8x8x3) = 8x8x9 = 576 cu ins. = 0.3333 cu ft = 1/3 cu ft.
weight is 150 / 3 = 50 lbs
OR
Volume = 2/3 x 2/3 x 3/4 = 1/3 cu ft
weight is 150 / 3 = 50 lbs

OR
Volume = 2/3 x 2/3 x 3/4 = 1/3 cu ft
weight is 150 / 3 = 50 lbs
