Area of circle [tex]= \pi.3^2= 9\pi ~= 28.27433388...[/tex]

Area of A circle [tex]= \pi r^2 = 3.14 * 9 = 27.96[/tex]

For area you can use A = pi*r^2 = 9pi.
and circumference C= 2*pi*r= 6pi

Area of Circle = PI X Radius X Radius.
Circumference or Circle = 2 X PI X Radius

Area of circle: A= πr²
π= 3.14 and r=3
So A= 3.14*3²
A= 3.14*9 = 28.26
A= 28.26

Circumference of a circle: C= 2πr
C= 2*3.14*3
= 3.14*6
C= 18.84

So the area of a circle is 28.26 and circumference of a circle is 18.84

I hope that Leesa Johnson and the "Guest" who wrote that [tex]9\pi[/tex]= 9 times 3.14 know that "3.14" is an approximation to [tex]\pi[/tex], not actually [tex]\pi[/tex] 9(3.14)= 28.26 is an approximation to the area of a circle of radius 3. (And "Guest"S suggestion that 9(3.14) is equal to 27.97 is not even a good approximation, its just wrong!)
