Graphing Piecewise Function

Postby nycmath » Fri Sep 04, 2026 11:49 am

Precalculus
Michael Sullivan
Edition 10
Chapter 2, Section 2.4

Graph the given piecewise function by hand.

My steps:

1. Make a table of values for each "piece".
2. Graph each "piece" separately.
3. Graph both "pieces" on the sane xy-plane.

See attachment.

The component "-5x" should not have an endpoint as x>0 for that piece; x>0 denotes all positive numbers
