Precalculus
Michael Sullivan
Edition 10
Chapter 2, Section 2.3

The graph of f is given.
Use the graph to find:

A. The intercepts, if any

B. The domain amd range

C. The intervals on which the function is decreasing, increasing, or constant.

26 (a)

Intercepts: (-1, 0), (0, 2), (1, 0)

26 (b)

Domain = [-3, 3]

Range = [0, 3]

26 (c)

Decreasing: (-3, -1), (0, 1)

Increasing: (-1, 0), (1, 3)

26 (d)

The function is even because ot is symmetric about the y-axis.

You say?
