A drop of water per second from a leaking faucet wastes x gallons per year. Determine amount of water wasted.

A drop of water is approx. 0.050 ml.

0.050 ml. = 0.00169 oz.

31536000 seconds in 1 year ( 60 * 60 = 3600 * 24 = 86400 * 365 = 31536000).

31536000 * 0.00169 = 53295.84 = 53296 oz.

53296 / 128 = 416.375 = 416 gal.

Answer given is more. Where am I correct ?

I would suggest to use this conversion:

0.050 ml. = 0.0016907 oz.

or

0.001691

Then calculations are more accurate.
