if (((8/15)*100))+((8/3)*100)-200=119.99 and (((y/2)*100))+((y/14)*100)-200=119.99 then how to calculate the value of y and what is the value of y if 119.99 is now equal to zero
thank you so much however may be able to help me, could you also show me step by step solution as I am totally ignorant about maths. thanks a million

The value of y can be solved by equating both the equations.
119.99 = 0

Then (100y / 2) + (110y / 14) - 200 = 0
700y + 100y = 2800
800y = 2800
y = 2800/800 = 7/2

Value of y is 7/2
