PS: lg = log10

There is a mistake in the above conditon

The true one is :

Find all positive overall roots of the equation:

x = lg(9x + 1)

There is generally no "neat" algebraic solution to this type of problem. You have been asked before in other forums ...What is your course of study that gives you such variety of problems about which you have no indication of any personal knowledge?

(1) <=> [tex]10^x=9x+1[/tex]

Using Bernoulli inequality : [tex](1+a)^k\ge 1+ka[/tex] (Equality holds for a=0 or k=0 or k=1)

we have [tex]10^x=(1+9)^x \ge 1+9x[/tex]

Equality holds for [tex]x=0[/tex] or [tex]x=1[/tex] :)
