What units??? Cubic inches ? - not sure. Yes it will be cubic inches if you took the diameter in inches
How did you calculate it?? Area of circle since the opening uses diameter. did you use the formula for area of a circle pi x d x d /4
What is your method os solving the whole problem?? I don't know. The method has been outlined in earlier posts

The method will be the same...no matter what units....
Find the area of the flow, This is the bit you have found
Find the velocity of flow" I don't know the steps. The velocity is how fast the water is flowing and will depend on the pressure.
Same idea as if you drop a stone from top of a building when it hits the ground the potential energy it had at the top will be converted into velocity energy.
Read up on Bernouli equation for flow of liquids. and use their formulae.
Then velocity x area gives flowrate
flowrate x time gives quantity
whether it is cubic feet or cubic metres depends on the units you are using
