A hemispherical kettle has an inside diameter of 2.5 ft. Determine capacity (gal.)

Please check my calculations:

Hemispherical volume:

V = (4/3 * pi * r^3) / 2

V =- (1.333 * 3.1416 * 1.953) / 2

V = 4.08 cu. ft.

V = 4.08 * 7.48 = 30.5 = 31 gal.

The formula for the volume of a hemisphere is
$V=\frac23\pi r^3$

That equals to approx. $8.18$ ft

2 * pi * r^3 / 3

2.5 ft. diameter.

2.5 / 2 = 1.25 radius.

2 * 3.1416 * 1.25 ^ 3 / 3

2 * 3.1416 * 1.95 / 3

4.08 cu. ft.

4.08 * 7.48 = 30.5 gal. (same answer).

Where did I miscalculate ?
