Calculate number of gallons that can be hoisted by a crane with the capability of lifting 30 tons.

8.345G- G: amount of water in tank measured in gallons.

3250- weight of empty tank.

W- total weight of water tank measured in pounds.

Tank is made of metal.

1 gallon of water = 10 pounds

2240 pounds in 1 ton

Pounds of water lifted = (2240 x 30) - 3250 = 67200 - 3250 = 63950 pounds

Gallons of water lifted = 63950 / 10 = 6395 gallons

I dont know what the 8.345G-G is ???
