hello guys plzzz help me in solving these questions i will appreciate it.
Q.1. A firm sells a single product for $65 per unit. Variable costs per unit are \$20 for materials and \$27.50 for labor. Annual fixed costs are \$100,000. Construct the profit function stated in terms of x, the number of units produced and sold. How many units must be produced and sold in order to
(a) earn a profit of $1.5 million, and (b) earn zero profit?
Q.2. A piece of machinery is purchased for $300,000. Accountants have decided to use a straight-line depreciation method with the machine being fully depreciated after 8 years. Letting V equal the book value of the machine and t the age of the machine, determine the function V = f(t). Determine the restricted domain and the range.
Q.3. A charitable organization is planning a raffle to raise \$10,000. Five hundred chances will be sold on a new car. The car will cost the organization \$15,000. How much should each ticket cost if the organization wishes to net a profit of \$10,000.
Q.4. A company sells a product for \$150 per unit. Raw material costs are \$40 per unit, labor costs are \$55 per unit, shipping costs are \$15 per unit, and annual fixed costs are \$200,000.
(a) Determine the profit function P = f(x), where x equals the number of units sold.
(b) How many units must be sold in order to earn an annual profit of \$750,000?
Q.5. Ridership on a small regional airline has been declining, approximately, at a linear rate. In 1981 the number of passengers was 245,000; in 1986 the number was 215,000. If n equals the number of passengers using the airline per year and t equals time measured in years (t = 0 for 1981):
(a) Determine the linear estimating function n = f(t).
(b) Interpret the meaning of the slope.
(c) What is the number of riders expected to equal in the year 2000?
(d) It is estimated that the airline will go out of business if ridership falls below 180,000. According to the function obtained in part (a), when will this happen?
Q.6. A company is considering the purchase of a piece of equipment to be used to produce a new product. Three machines are being considered. Machine 1 costs \$100,000, and the associated variable cost of production for the new product is estimated at \$25. Machine 2 costs \$150,000 with a variable cost of production of \$22.50. Machine 3 costs $180,000 with a variable cost of \$21. Determine the ranges of output over which each machine would be the least cost alternative. Sketch the three cost functions on one graph.
Q.7. Assume that a revenue function R(x) and a total cost function C(x) have been used in performing break-even analysis. What is the expected effect on the break-even level of output xBE if (all other things held constant):
(a) The price per unit decreases?
(b) The variable cost per unit decreases?
(c) The fixed cost decreases

Question1

Part a....... 65x - (20x + 27.5x + 100) = 1500000

So x = ??????

Part b..... 65x - (20x + 27.5x + 100) = 0

So x = ????????


Question 2

V = 300000 - 35000t


Question 3

Cost is 15000 + 10000 for profit

Tickets need to cost 25000 / 500 = 50


Question 4 is same type as question1

If you have specific problems then post them, dont expect it all to be done for you
