Amount of Time

Postby Guest » Tue May 17, 2022 9:10 pm

A penny is dropped from the top of the Empire State Building. Determine amount of time for the penny to reach the ground, neglecting air resistance.

The building is 1250 ft. in height.

Unsure how to solve.

There is second formula (2) at the link that is higher sentence.
IF I don't mistake, r(0) - lenth , has been gone before measuaring.r(0) = 0.
Then [tex]\nu[/tex](0) - starting speed .[tex]\nu[/tex](0) = 0.
a = g - acceleration of gravity.

At last find t .
That's all :D :D :D : .

S = [tex]\nu[/tex] * t + a * t^2 / 2

There is second formula at the link that is higher sentence.
IF I don't mistake, [tex]\nu[/tex] - starting speed . [tex]\nu[/tex] = 0 in the exersize.
a= g- acceleration of gravity.
At last find t .
That's all :D :D :D .[/quote] \\\\\\\ I'm sorry others is not correct !!!!! \\\\\\\
