First, the correct word is "numeral", not number. Second, it is correct to say "Arabic-Hindu numerals" rather than just "Arabic numerals" so, no, the term does not need to be changed.

Actually, Arabic numbers are based on Hindu- Arabic number system as I have studied about it.

Arabic numbers comes from India.
Europeans learnt them from Arabs and because of that we say that 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are Arabic
