First, the correct word is "numeral", not number. Second, it is correct to say "Arabic-Hindu numerals" rather than just "Arabic numerals" so, no, the term does not need to be changed.

Arabic numbers comes from India.
Europeans learnt them from Arabs and because of that we say that 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are Arabic

Are arabic numbers really arabic?
And isn't it time to change the word "arabic"?
