Given
ax^2 + bx + c =0 has roots [tex]\alpha,\beta[/tex] ,
Also [tex]\alpha=\beta^2[/tex]
Prove c(a-b)^3 = a(c-b)^3
Using the sum and difference of roots (?) seems to hit a brick wall.
Any help, years since I did anything like this.
