If [tex]f(x)=\frac{x^2+ax-2a^2}{x^2-a^2}[/tex], determine f(x) as x approaches a.

[tex]lim_{x->a}\frac{x^2 - a^2 + ax - a^2}{x^2 - a^2}=[/tex]

[tex]lim_{x->a}\frac{(x - a)(x+a) + a(x - a)}{(x - a)(x+a)}=[/tex]

[tex]lim_{x->a}\frac{(x - a)((x+a) + a)}{(x - a)(x+a)}=[/tex]

[tex]lim_{x->a}\frac{x + 2a}{x+a}= \frac{a + 2a}{a + a} = \frac{3}{2}[/tex]
