Semantic monitoring approaches microservice monitoring from the business transaction, or semantic, perspective. Instead of monitoring each component that serves a business transaction, synthetic transaction monitoring is employed to ascertain how well the transaction performs for the business and the customers who use it.

Semantic monitoring runs a set of automated tests against an application on production systems at regular intervals.

Semantic monitoring in Microservices architecture refers to the practice of tracking and analyzing the meaningful data and interactions between various microservices. It involves understanding the contextual significance of events, messages, and behaviors to gain insights into the system's overall health and performance. If you want to learn how to implement microservices architecture, consider focusing on a modular design, independent deployment, and efficient communication patterns to ensure scalability and maintainability.
