Area of Square / Circle

Postby Guest » Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:57 pm

The side of a square is the same length as the area of a circle. If the area of the square is 1 inch, the area of the circle is .7854 sq. in.

How is the .7854 calculated ?

I believe you meant, "the side of a square is the same as the diameter of a circle, if the area of the square is 1 inch^2 what is the area of the circle?"

side of the square = √(1 inch^2) = 1 inch

diameter of the circle = 1 inch area circle = d^2*Pi/4 Pi/4 = 0,785 area circle = (1 inch)^2 = 1 inch *0,785 = 0,785 inch^2

I hope I could help
