One of the solutions to the equation $x^2-54x+104=0$ is 2. Find the other root using Vieta's formulas.

Solution:
From Vieta's formulas we have $-(x_1+x_2)=-54$ , so $x_1+x_2=54$ . We substitute $x_1$ for its value and get $2+x_2=54$ , so $x_2=52$ .
